Back to School Reality

On this beautiful afternoon,
I find myself facing the cold, hard reality...
it's time for back to school.
So not only am I planning my schedule and menus for the week
I'm also studying supply list and orientation times.
It's not that I mind the errands or money spent,
what I mind is that my fun filled summer time with my boys is coming to an end.
Time for football practices, homework assignments and tired cranky afternoons.
I'll miss these months of dictating how and with whom we spend our time.
Laughter, team work, and most importantly memories.
Just this week I read an article about whether you're a Summer Mom,
or Back to School Mom.
I think as sadness fills my heart,
I know,
I'm a Summer Mom!

Now, time to wipe off my tears and pull up my big girl panties.
I have 8 days of Summer left, and I intend to spend every last minute of it!
God's blessings on your afternoon, Sarah :D

I agree with you. I would rather have my kids here with me than rushing around during the school year. This will be the first year they will be in public school... and this year I will lose 3 all at once. I already warned my SIL in California to be ready for my tearful phone calls for the day. I will only have 2 with me during the day... when you are used to having 5 all day.... well.... it will take some serious getting used to. *sniff! sniff!!*

Enjoy every minute of your summer mom! Giggle, splash, snuggle, get dirty, make mud pies, and dance, sing and just be a family.

A delight to find your site today.

Blessings from Costa Rica,
Sarah Dawn
